Milan, the global fashion capital had its streets clad with ultrachic show on-goers from 19th to 24th September ’18 as it witnessed the most prestigious event, ‘Milan Fashion Week’. Canadian fashion model Winnie Harlow opening both Byblos & Philipp Plein, hijab wearing model Halima Aden at Philipp Plein, nineties supermodel Shalom Harlow closing Versace’s show clearly embraced diversity and equality. Gigi Hadid’s wedding dress surrounded by butterflies at Moschino and Emporio Armani’s show at Linate Airport were among the other highlights.
As good as the shows have been, with clear trends, inviting colors and clothes that are purposeful, it has been irresistible for us to take our minds off the real repertoires “bags”. While the designers were in artsy mood featuring scribbles, tie & dye, splashes, embellishments, the runways had major 80s moment with boho vibe. Belt bags, Carryalls, Crochet, Pouch, Bucket, Logo, Embroidery and Transparent bags built the Italian fashion houses’ collection.
